Every year we are treated to a wonderful experience put on for the kids. They are all so welcoming and thoughtful, making it an amazing time to spend with our grandparents.

Lee has been an exceptional source of support for my mom at the Waltonwood. Her dedication to providing compassionate care is truly commendable. Lee’s attentiveness, kindness, and willingness to go the extra mile have had a positive impact on my mom’s well-being. It’s reassuring to know that someone as caring as Lee is there to make a difference in the lives of residents. We’re grateful for her presence and the comfort they bring to our family.

My father moved into Waltonwood in March of 2022. My family and I have been extremely pleased with the care he is receiving, the excellent culinary experience and all of the activities! We moved my father from another senior living community and the experience for him and for us was horrible. You could never find someone on the care staff and if there was 1 person in the entire building, they were doing something else like serving food. The administrative staff was never there to answer questions and often times, the receptionist was not there to let us in/out. Oh, by the way, the food was not edible. We’re so happy our father is in Waltonwood of Twelve Oaks and receiving everything, and more, of what he needs! Thanks to everyone for all of your hard work!

My mother has been at Waltonwood for about a year now in independent living. I couldnít be happier with the facility and her time there. I would especially like to give a shout out to Lee the Independent Living coordinator who has helped me navigate some health issues my mother has had. To be honest Iím not sure what I would have done without her advice and support not only for my mom but for our family as well.

Stefanie planned 2 great days to celebrate my father’s milestone birthday. Peter and I had a great time at Dad’s birthday lunch. (First time Peter has been out for any social occasion in quite awhile.) Maria was the perfect hostess, and the food was very tasty. It’s been a long time since I’ve enjoyed a shrimp dinner so much. The cake was “decadent”. > > I was impressed by the size of the crowd at Dad’s birthday party yesterday. Either he has a lot of friends or the food and entertainment were outstanding. I think it was a combination of all those things! Thank you for going out of your way to make his 103rd birthday a special one. > > I am comfortable that Dad is well cared for by you and the Waltonwood staff. Thank you. > > Regards, > Tina and Peter

A shout out to Alecia Greenberg, Enrichment Director. My cousin recently moved in and initially was having a hard time getting adjusted. Alecia’s keen insight, expertise, caring and compassionate Spirit has had a calming influence on my cousin. She is now engaged, has a sense of belonging and she is leading sessions and even dancing….showing off her moves! Thank you Alecia for all you do every day to ease our minds and care for our loved ones with dignity, respect and loads of FUN. You are a true Blessing!

Alecia, the activities coordinator in memory care, is incredible. Talk about a challenging group of residents. Alecia keeps the residents challenged and engaged with different crafts, games, music, and social interactions daily. I am so grateful for her skills and compassion. Thank you.

I am a new resident at Waldenwoods Tel-Twelve. I am excited to be a part of this new community. I was very impressed upon entering the facility. Everything is bright, cheery and welcoming. The staff was very thorough with information and they were completely accommodating with my requests and not only made me feel comfortable they actually made me excited to move here – especially Lee, Heather and Meika. Thank you for making it such a smooth move.

Josie, Linda and I were so fortunate to be able to experience our adventure. We arrived in Grayling about 11:30. Basma took us to the Country Club for lunch. Our server was the first to ask what we were there for (there were major activities for the weekend). She loved our story about the three of us winning our adventure trip. We left there and did some shopping. It worked out well because it only rained hard when we were in the store. I donít know how Basma managed that but she certainly had everything planned and under control. We met many of the clerks/owners of the shops there and were asked to tell our story about our Waltonwood adventure each time. Our cabin was beautiful and only a stones throw from the river. Basma cooked dinner and breakfast for up. I ate more than I usually do AND we were visited by three wild turkeys. We had so many laughs and such a good time together we thought we should do this again. Basma did such a good job we just canít thank her enough

It was a delightful experience traveling to the Michigan countryside. We had a cabin at the outskirts of the town of Grayling. Basma of the Enrichment program was our driver and guide. The cabin where we stayed is beautiful surrounded by pine trees and the AuSable river. I had my own bedroom. Thre were 3 girls resident with Basma. We loved the town. Lunch was at the town golf club.,(best onion rings ever!). She prepared a delicious healthy dinner while we talked, read and played Rummikub. The rain, when we arrived made the place restful and idyllic. Next day,Wednesday August 30th we went to town after our hot breakfast by Basma. We loved the downtown and the friendly folks. Of course we each bought a sweatshirt as a souvenir. It’s a great WW Twelve Oaks expression of care for ys residents. And, a stop at my favorite restaurant,Cracker Barrel is all unforgettable. Thank you and love for Basma at Waltonood,Twelve Oaks.

I have been at Waltonwood for a little over a year and have found it to be a friendly and accepting community. It far surpasses other institutions I and my sons looked at before making the decision to move here. There are a variety of events available to the residents and a very friendly and approachable staff. A change in the dining experience was recently introduced which has been a great improvement over the previous model. In addition there is now a dinner option geared to those wishing to have a vegetarian alternative. I am very happy here and have made many valued friendships.
