Waltonwood Senior Living improves the quality of life for our Memory Care residents by supporting their physical, emotional, and intellectual needs. Through our life enrichment programming, the residents’ preferences drive the activities offered. We strive to cater to their likes and dislikes, while helping them adapt to their changing life through communication and assistance.

We want family members to remain an integral part of every aspect of a loved one’s care and daily life. With that in mind, Waltonwood offers personalized care plans that preserve those important home-like settings and everyday patterns, while encouraging residents to participate in daily interactive social activities programs. Our goal is to restore a resident’s sense of self and help them overcome the fearful anxiety of memory decline.

Our staff has in-depth knowledge of the specific needs for those with memory impairment. We are committed to providing gentle encouragement and support, while helping residents make their own decisions. All of our care givers through a virtual dementia training to help them understand what our residents may be experiencing. Our success with this training, is that our care associates are more patient, understanding, and empathetic with our residents.

Waltonwood provides a warm, comforting ambiance through pleasant and peaceful multisensory experiences, allowing our residents to relax and feel secure within their environment. Your loved one will become an important member of our community family.

Find Your Community

Finding the right community is about more than choosing a place to live—it’s about discovering a place where you can thrive. Explore options that align with your lifestyle, interests, and goals for the future.

Not sure where to begin?

Our design expertise is reflected in:

  • Varying wall colors to delineate rooms and help with identification

  • Personalized room ledge and outside each apartment to assist in residents’ association with their home.

  • On-site wellness center and consistent monitoring by a licensed nurse.

  • Inviting secure outdoor courtyards for gardening, bird watching or simply enjoying the outdoors.

Life Stations

Life stations offer residents with dementia or brain changes the opportunity to engage with objects and environments that are familiar and intriguing to them. The purpose of life stations is to offer a visually appealing area where residents are encouraged to touch, read, listen and intentionally interact with items that offer a sense of connection from their current or past interests and life history. Life stations are located throughout the neighborhood, typically in seating areas and hallway nooks.

Connection Baskets

Connection Baskets are utilized by all associates and guests for planned and spontaneous engagement with residents. Connection Baskets are labeled by theme and include sensory based items along with conversation prompts. Items in each basket are used to provoke memories, reminiscing and promote sensory stimulation. Residents may explore items independently or associates may initiate and lead interaction.

The Gallery

The Gallery is a designated area within the Memory Care neighborhood displaying a vibrant, interactive and eclectic homage to music and the arts. The collection of artifacts, memorabilia and instruments offers residents the opportunity to immerse themselves in a sensory experience with the sights, sounds and stories of musical artistry.
