I have worked with April at Waltonwood for years and My mom lives here and she is very happy. The staff are great and the atmosphere is warm and inviting. We made the right choice with her to choose Waltonwood University. Wonderful place.I have enjoyed each time I have come into the building, whether it be for a Marketing event or bringing a client in for a tour. Kathleen understands on a personal level the stress dementia can create in families, the difficulty families can have placing a loved one in residential care, and the importance of maintaining connection as your loved oneís memory fades. As the Memory Care Life Enrichment Manger, Kathleen is responsible for planning, leading, and implementing 1-on-1 and group activities. Kathleen approaches her role holistically, focusing on residentsí mental and physical needs as well as the needs of the family. I highly recommend Kathleen Sable Colonello and Waltonwood on Main, Memory Care.

Iíve been an employee at Waltonwood Main now for over 10 years and I really enjoy the family-like atmosphere. The management team is the best we have ever had, and I really enjoy working with them. There are quite a few employees that have been here over 5, 8 and 10 years which really speaks a lot about the community.

Iíve work at this Waltonwood for 13 years and still counting. I started when i was 18 years old i was scared and nervous but the residents welcomed me and made my job more of a second home and a family and a place i love to come to.

A great community for our residents. They have weekly activities as well as routine themed events. All staff is very friendly and cater to the resident’s needs. The food is excellent.

THIS IS MY HOME!! I had homes in Lexington, Michigan and Ormond Beach, Florida and sold them both to come here. I searched all Independent Living residents in this area and in Grand Rapids to find a home that met all my needs. I had each place send virtual tours to show what they offered and I spoke to many people many times each to ask questions. I rules out Grand Rapids where I have a sister and concentrated on Rochester Hills where I have children. I came here with checkbook in hand to put down a deposit on another place that met my needs however when I went in to speak with the person assigned to give me a tour I was greatly disappointed. He was NOT very personable, was not too interested in answering questions. The place was GORGEOUS the person who met us was extremely cold in his unfriendly acceptance of a stranger who was there to seriously about to sign in the dotted line and seemed to be more interested in promoting the fact that meals were prepared by a famous restaurant (itís ONLY as good as itís chef). We left and I took my unwritten check to the next place in my listó-Waltonwood! My sister, who had come with me

Started working here at Waltonwood almost 3 years ago part time, two morning per week. Loved the residents and atmosphere so much I made it my only job, and left behind the retail world that I had worked in for 25 years. Coming to work is enjoyable and I have a huge extended family now.
